6 Best Adwords Bidding Rules while you are on holidays

It’s very “uncomfortable” when we come back from holidays and we check that we’ve lost some opportunity to convert even more or we’ve wasted money.

Creating these easy adwords rules almost of the 70% of situations that we can find during holidays can we fix it in real time while we are resting 😉

  1. Increase budget if all is fine:
    • Frequency: hourly
    • Data: Today
    • When: after 6 pm
    • If: Budget campaign <= Cost AND Campaign CPA< CPAgoal
    • Then: Budget Campaign x 1,05
  1. Here is our Adinton’s Rule for increasing adwords budget.
    1. Increase CPC when it’s performing nice:
    • Frequency: 12h
    • Data: Today
    • When: Every day
    • If: CPA_Keyword < CPA_Goal and AvgPos>1.3 and impressionshare <90
    • Then: CPC*1.05

Here is our Adinton’s Rule for increasing CPC when all is perfoming properly.

    1. Decrease CPC when it’s underperforming:
    • Frequency: 12h
    • Data: Today
    • When: Every day
    • If: CPA_Keyword > CPA_Goal and AvgPos<1.4
    • Then: CPC*0.95
  • Adinton’s Rule for Low CTR
    1. Campaigns spent clicks with no conversions enough.
    • Frequency: daily
    • Data: YESTERDAY
    • If: (CPA_campaign > 3 CPA GOAL OR conv_campaign = 0) AND Cost_Campagin>1/3Cost_Account)
    • Then: Budget Search Campaign * 0.45
  • Here is the rule.
    1. You’re selling fine but you’d like to improve a bit more:
  • Frequency: hourly
  • Data: Today
  • if: matchtype = broad AND Keyword CPA< CPAgoal
  • Then: CPC*0.4
